NetEase and 24 Entertainment have today launched the expansion of their ‘Showdown’ campaign mode for Naraka: Bladepoint. The exceptionally popular free-to-play game can be played on PC and Xbox Series X|S, and all players will get access to the Showdown – Chapter II content from today.

Naraka: Bladepoint Showdown – Chapter II promises a wealth of challenging content for warriors to experience. New playable heroes, fierce new enemies and ‘advanced gameplay systems’ are available to all. Furthermore, experienced players can now hone their melee skills across three new stages designed for intense bouts of cooperative play:

  • Brave the Desert Tribulations saga and cleave through enemy hordes to reach this zone’s punishing mini-boss, the Stone Monster.
  • Push back against the tides of evil in Immovable as you and your fellow warriors build and fight in this tower defence-inspired level.
  • Throw down against Omni’s sinister second incarnation, Omnius·Rock, when you face the Toppled Mountains finale.

Naraka: Bladepoint Showdown – Chapter II also expands the number of playable heroes available in this mode. Fan favourites Matari the stealthy assassin, and Temulch the juggernaut will join Kurumi, Tarka, Valda, and Viper.

Players can experiment with new team compositions in PvE, further customising their heroes using powerful Souljades. Already available in Naraka: Bladepoint’s competitive modes, these will raise the Sense of your hero and greatly augment their stats when facing greater challenges.

Expert players looking to push themselves can also partake in the new Racing and Doom modes. Participating in these modes will give you a chance to earn the coveted Flaming Ash Burning katana skin. Both are released as part of this update.

Naraka: Bladepoint Showdown – Chapter II builds on the success of the game’s ambitious PvE mode. This was first introduced earlier this year, and has helped expand the game beyond its core competitive modes. The PvE now includes duels, brawls, and the marquee 60-player battle royale.

24 Entertainment promises more content drops as we march into 2023 and beyond. Are you enjoying Naraka: Bladepoint? Let us know in the comments below!
