Zen Studios and Saber Interactive have released a new gameplay overview trailer for the upcoming Circus Electrique. The new video, narrated by the game’s Lead Writer Chris Baker, gives you a first-look tour of the greatest show in London. Here, you’ll have to defend the city from maddened citizens by using unique carnival talents and recruiting new entertainer.

Circus Electrique is an original turn-based, tactical RPG set in a steampunk Victorian London. The game is part story-driven RPG, part tactics and part circus management – all with a steampunk twist. When everyday Londoners mysteriously turn into vicious killers, it’s up to the circus’ lineup of Strongmen, Fire Blowers, Clowns and other performers to save the city in tactical turn-based 4v4 battles. With 15 playable classes in total, each with their own eccentric skill-sets, you’ll need to carefully assemble your motley crew in order to save the city.

In addition to the turn-based combat, players have to rebuild their circus. Recruit and train the most talented performers from all over the world. Performers’ skill, chemistry with one another, and overall devotion combine to determine the success of a single show. You’ll need every single spare Shilling you can get to keep everyone paid and happy.

Zen Studios has also taken particular interest in PlayStation VR.

Circus Electrique will launch for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game will also launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. All formats have been penned in for later this year, though no specific date has yet been given.
