Square Enix today launches Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis on iOS and Android. The highly anticipated mobile RPG sees players exploring key elements of the Final Fantasy VII timeline. Most importantly for fans, this includes key events of the original game.
In addition to providing background to the original Final Fantasy VII, new story elements penned by the story and scenario writer of Final Fantasy VII Remake, Kazushige Nojima, feature in the game. These plot points are largely concerned with a certain young hero, Sephiroth. That is, before he turns into the big bad.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis Launches, Players Get Stuff for Free
In celebration of the launch, players can take advantage of a number of opportunities offered for free. These are following a successful pre-registration campaign which, given the legacy of the attached franchise, is unsurprising. Players downloading today as Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis launches will receive exclusive rewards, including the following:
- Pre-Registration Milestone Achievement. To commemorate the pre-registration milestone of over 1.7 million players pre-registered for the game, players will automatically receive a plethora of in-game rewards upon logging in. These include a 5-Star Weapon Draw Ticket, the Zweihander weapon, up to 3,000 Blue Crystals, 30 Draw Tickets, 2 Jumpstart Item Sets. Players will also receive a Gear Voucher which can be exchanged for a gear of their choice. Furthermore, 7.7 billion Blue Crystals will be split between players. (The total number of players eligible for the split will be based on the number of downloads during first three days after release. There is a minimum guaranteed amount of Blue Crystal x1,500.)

As Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis launches, Square Enix promises the game delivers a mobile-optimised, deep RPG. The games includes Final Fantasy VII’s Active Time Battle System and a customisable party line-up. Familiar faces such as Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, Zack and many other iconic characters appear in the game, which can be taken on in up to three player co-op.
