Rainbite’s popular PS Vita classic, Reverie, is making it’s way to new formats. With eastasiasoft in the role of publisher, Reverie: Sweet As Edition will arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in June 2023. Furthermore, the PlayStation 5 will receive a special physical edition.

Reverie: Sweet As Edition tasks the player with saving an island in peril. This is while you’re supposed to be on a childhood holiday. Some things never go to plan, eh? Cast as Tai, you’ll find that restless spirits are threatening the safety of Toromi Island’s inhabitants. You must venture through dangerous dungeons and across a variety of environments to put the spirits to rest. Just a normal a summer holiday.

With the gameplay very clearly Zelda-inspired, Rainbite state that the fictional island in Reverie is based in New Zealand and inspired by the legend of Maui and the Giant Fish. In the story, a demigod fishes up the North Island with a powerful fishhook.
