Publisher Kepler Interactive has announced that the open-world island adventure Tchia has reached more than one million players. This milestone was reached in the first six weeks following launch. The game achieved significant critical acclaim on PlayStation consoles and PC. To celebrate, developer Awaceb has opened pre-orders for a brand-new physical version of Tchia.
Tchia puts players in the shoes of a young adventurer, Tchia. She ventures out to save her father from the grips of the archipelago’s tyrannical ruler, Meavora. With an army of mindless minions to face down called the Maano, Tchia players will have to use their creativity as well as some mystical tools to defeat the fabric creatures one and for all.
Along the way, Tchia players will immerse themselves in a world inspired by the small island nation of New Caledonia. From its unique landmarks and biomes to the culture of the people who call it home, Tchia is a homage to the real world locale.
Tchia Players Can Get their Hands on a Physical Release Soon
If you were one of the many players who loved the game, you’ll be excited to learn about the upcoming physical release. Known as the Oléti edition, it will include a number of new additions.
Chief among them is a new cosmetic pack inspired by Kepler Interactive’s family of games. Customise your boat, ukulele, glider and even Tchia’s outfit with items and looks from Kepler’s suite of games. These include Sifu, Scorn, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn and Cat Quest-inspired designs.
Set to be distributed in partnership with Maximum Games, the game will launch on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on 18th July, 2023. It is available to pre-order now.
