With the likes of The Flash coming to theatres and Secret Invasion arriving on Disney+ this month, comic book fans have got plenty to entertain themselves. But, if you enjoy the darker adventures of Venom, then you’ll have to wait until next year. New to the franchise is Ted Lasso star Juno Temple, who recently confirmed Venom 3 filming begins soon.
As reported by Variety, Temple – alongside fellow star Hannah Waddingham – was at the Ted Lasso Emmys FYC event on Saturday night. When asked about the upcoming Marvel Studios movie she said that shooting hadn’t yet begun. However, Temple confirmed the schedule was due to commence: “very, very soon, which I’m thrilled about.”

Venom 3
Temple’s role in Venom 3 isn’t yet known, like most of the threequel. What is known is that Venom 3 will be a trilogy endcap and that Kelly Marcel – who wrote the previous two movies – will be taking over from Andy Serkis as director. Marcel will also serve as executive producer alongside Tom Hardy, Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker.
While the storyline hasn’t been revealed, Serkis has left several plot points to explore. In a previous interview with Comicbook.com he said: “I mean, I think there’s so much potential in the Venomverse for really interesting journeys before the kind of the inevitable happens… I think Kelly and Tom have been thinking about what is the next stage of the journey anyway. They would have thought of… They would have had some plans for where they could possibly go after this… You’ve got to. When you’re going into a franchise, you’ve got to think about the arc, of course. You can’t think about them just individually.”
With Venom 3 filming to begin soon the film is currently scheduled for an October 2024 release window.
