Futuristic free-to-play cooperative shooter SYNCED has today received a new demo. This time around, it’s a showcase of the PvE and PvP modes set to feature in the game, as this SYNCED demo is orientated solely around the multiplayer component of the game.

SYNCED is a sci-fi shooter set in the near future. Nanotechnology has rapidly advanced, and become the crux of civilization. However, a cataclysm known as the Collapse saw the nanomachines turn against their creators. They consume humans to propagate themselves and transforming into the deadly Nanos. Very much in the vein of The Matrix, it seems.

Players take on the role of a Runner. You’ll be scouring the Meridian for the valuable nano-energy substance, known as Nerva. Runners can sync with any Prime Nanos they take down, turning them against their creators. It’s a full circle for nanos everywhere.

SYNCED has already seen the release of a single-player demo. However, the core component of the game is its multiplayer modes. As such, this brand new demo is likely to prove very popular.

Players will team up in squads of three as they encounter PvE and PvP battles. A number of classes are set for the final game, each coming with their own unique abilities. However it’s not yet been revealed which are included in the demo.

The game is scheduled to release on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later this year.
