The long awaited release of Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield is quickly approaching. Coming to Xbox Series X|S, PC and Game Pass next month, there’s one group of gamers who need a little more detail on the release. Thankfully, we now have the full PC specifications, both minimum and recommended, for Starfield.
Starfield is the first new universe in over 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, the creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4. In this RPG set amongst the stars, players can create any character they want and explore with unparalleled freedom. In the year 2330, humanity has ventured beyond our solar system, settling new planets, and living as a spacefaring people.
You will join Constellation. The last group of space explorers seeking rare artifacts throughout the galaxy. With them, you will navigate the vast expanse of space in Bethesda Game Studios’ biggest and most ambitious game yet.

Starfield PC Minimum & Recommended Specifications
Starfield‘s minimum PC specifications may seem on the high side, but they’re not far off from the current trend. What should be noted is that at least 125GB of space is required on an SSD. This means that if you’re using a HDD to play games, you may need to upgrade. Furthermore, this doesn’t take into account any additional patches that may be applied.

- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, Intel Core i7-6800K
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 5700, NVIDIA GeForce 1070 Ti
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 125 GB available space
- Additional Notes: SSD Required
Starfield PC Recommended Specifications
The PC requirements to run Starfield at recommended specification are:
- OS: Windows 10/11 with updates
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, Intel i5-10600K
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080
- DirectX: Version 12
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 125 GB available space
- Additional Notes: SSD Required
The recommended specs aren’t too much of a leap from the minimum. If you’re running a high end gaming rig, you’ll surely have no problem with running Starfield as it’s meant to be played.
