Zombie games tend to be about one thing and one thing only, surviving by slaying as many as possible. But some like to alter this idea, whilst keeping the gore. Coming to PC and console is NACON and Eko Software’s Welcome to ParadiZe which has now been given an official launch date.
Welcome to ParadiZe works around one key gameplay mechanic, being able to control zombies. And not in a ‘throw a piece of meat at them’ way either. Thanks to modern technology you can actually hack a zombie, and get them to do your bidding. That could simply mean attacking other zombies, or you could get creative.
Welcome to ParadiZe
In this story-driven open-world survival adventure, you can either play solo or in co-op with three others. You need to learn how to survive by mastering a range of game mechanics such as crafting, defending camps, combat, and zombie hacking to make them allies.
The latter approach is all thanks to the Zombot Hacking Helmet, created by billionaire philanthropist Jeff Tusk. Using the Tusk Industries device, you stick it on an unsuspecting zombie’s head. Now you can command your zombies to harvest crops, act as bodyguards, and build your barricades. Or, if you’re feeling really lazy, let them carry you to where you need to go.
But this is no walk in the park. You’ll first need to build a base camp and collect supplies before you can begin amassing your zombie collective. You’ll also encounter some unusual flora and fauna as you explore the wilderness and the various environments in store.
Welcome to ParadiZe releases on 29th February 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. Take a look at the new gameplay trailer below.
