Elex II debuted for consoles and PC in March 2022. Over a year has passed and for many, the game’s middling reception means it’s long forgotten. However, one often ignored audience that will surely been keen to hear of it’s arrival. Elex II for Mac is now available to download.

Elex II is a highly ambitious sci-fi RPG. The game beckons players into an exuberant open world brimming with exploration. The game was developed by Piranha Bytes, creators of the Gothic and Risen series.

In the game, five distinct factions are fighting for dominance. Within the fictional realm of Magalan, a large variety of remarkable creatures and awe-inspiring panoramas unfold. Unleash your inner explorer as boundless horizons stretch before you. Every corner of the game world is yours to discover. With the aid of a jetpack, you can ascend to the spires of ancient skyscrapers or descend gracefully like a feather into the abyss of subterranean caverns. Alternatively, you can come crashing down like a wrecking ball and smite your enemies from above.

Adventure awaits on the Mac App Store as Elex II takes its place among pioneering titles that wholeheartedly embrace GPU-driven pipelines through the innovative Indirect Command Buffer (ICB) methodology on the Mac platform. Furthermore, Elex II stands tall as one of the privileged few games featuring shaders meticulously optimised for the Metal shading language.

The recommended specifications for the game are:

  • Apple MacBook Pro 14″
  • M1 Pro 8-core 14-core GPU
  • 16 GB (M1 Pro)
