The Halo series may not seem like the kind of game that would adapt well to arcades. However, Halo: Fireteam Raven remains a popular attraction, bringing the world of Master Chief to light gun arcade cabinets across the world. And now, Halo: Fireteam Raven is getting a significant upgrade, with new four-player cabinets becoming available for the first time.
The arcade spin-off made its debut back in 2018. The game takes place concurrently with the events of the original Halo: Combat Evolved. The UNSC Pillar of Autumn arrives at Installation 04, being met by the Fleet of Particular Justice. Fireteam Raven are briefed by Major Antonio Silva on their mission; defend Pillar of Autumn from the Covenant. The team then proceed to battle a variety of enemies inside the ship. As the game progresses, players will cross paths with the iconic Master Chief, and engage in numerous different gameplay styles including manning turrets.
Halo: Fireteam Raven 4-Player Cabinets
Upon initial launch, Halo: Fireteam Raven was launched as a two-player game. Last year, a four-player cabinet made it debut, allowing for more players to join in an enclosed space. However, this new redesign or the cabinet features an open design. And what’s more, it now features replicas of the iconic Halo assault rifle.
The game allows for fans of the Halo franchise to bring a small piece of their experience home with them. When playing, players can scan a QR code on the arcade cabinet to link their Xbox LIVE account and allow Halo Waypoint to track their progress in-game. Additionally, linking an Xbox LIVE account with the arcade game will grant that player access to an exclusive nameplate for use in Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
