As with most RPGs, exploration comes part-and-parcel with a levelling system in Starfield. Almost every action provides some amount of XP as you progress through the game. In turn, this XP can be used to acquire various skills and abilities. With over 300 abilities available in Starfield, many players will need a guide to maximise their potential in a short space of time. But what exactly is the best method to earn XP fast in Starfield?
How to Earn XP Fast in Starfield
When you begin playing Starfield we whole heartedly recommend simply playing through the main campaign missions. This is definitely the most immediate (and enjoyable!) way of earning XP. By completing story chapters you’ll be earning huge XP bonuses upon the conclusion of each mission. Furthermore, many secondary missions are also extremely lucrative. You can earn XP fast in Starfield simply by setting yourself upon a story mission or side quest and sticking towards the goal.
Of course, like many Bethesda RPGs, it’s easy to get sidetracked. As such, here’s a guide to other activities you can engage in along your Starfield journey the way to ensure you’re able to earn XP fast.
- Unlock the Well-Rested skill early. With this skill enabled, after sleeping you’ll earn a 10% XP bonus for the a full in-game day. We recommend doing so before engaging in high value activities.
- Explore. Each new POI found rewards XP.
- Take control of enemy ships. Board enemy ships and defeat the enemies within them for a high XP payout.
Engaging in the above activities is a sure-fire way to rack-up XP fast in Starfield. There’s a pretty high level cap in the game, so don’t expect to get there too soon!
