Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield is undoubtedly one of the most highly anticipated games of 2023. Now that the official Starfield release date is nearly upon us, it’s time to prepare for launch. In this article you’ll learn the Starfield file size and how much HDD/SDD space you’ll need, the details of the Digital Premium Upgrade option and how to get early access to the game, allowing you to play five days ahead of the official launch date.

Starfield Early Access Release Date and Time

In addition to launching on Xbox Game Pass, there’s a range of different editions available for Starfield. The standard edition is simply the game. But then there’s also the Constellation Edition, Digital Premium Edition and the Digital Premium upgrade. Starfield File Size for Xbox and PC

As seen in Chit Hot’s report on the Starfield PC Minimum & Recommended Specifications, the game will require a 125GB download on PC. The Xbox Series X edition of the game is expected to be similar. There’s no information currently available to the Xbox Series S file size, but based on previous releases, it should be a slightly smaller file size.

This of course does not take into account any future patches – including day one updates – so do keep that in mind when attempting to clear enough space off your SSDs!

Starfield on Game Pass

Gamers intending to play Starfield via their Game Pass subscription will be able to access it on its official release date, as stated above.

However, if you’re subscribed to Game Pass and want to play early without buying the full game, you can purchase the Digital Premium upgrade. In addition to the early access, this bundle also includes some bonus in-game items and a digital artbook.

That’s wraps up the full lowdown on preparations for the upcoming Starfield release date! Are you planning on going for the early access? Do you subscribe to Game Pass? Let us know in the comments below!
