Capcom held a Dragon’s Dogma 2 showcase in the early hours of this morning. Within, we got a lovely lot of new information about the game. Chief among them however, was the release date of Dragon’s Dogma 2. The game is set to arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC in March next year.
The game’s director, Hideaki Itsuno, and producer, Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, also unveiled a new trailer (below) showing gameplay of the action-RPG. For the first time, we see the new Trickster Vocation as well as some brand new enemies. In addition, the pair offered insights into the Dragon’s Dogma 2 story and gameplay choices players will make.

The digital event also provided a first look at the returning Warrior and Sorcerer Vocations. These will be available to both the Arisen (the player character) and Pawns.
The Warrior
This Vocation boasts a robust physique specialising in direct combat. You’ll have the strength to endure enemy attacks. But you’re able to dish it out, too. Warriors are masters of two-handed weapons, such as the greatsword and the hammer.
The Sorcerer
Want something a little more mystical? The Sorcerer is a vocation completely specialised in various magick attacks. Their magick is conjured with both hands through a large staff. They have various abilities, and can change the tide of battle at any given opportunity.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Release Date
In addition to the standard version of Dragon’s Dogma 2, a Deluxe Edition containing the “New Journey Pack” will be made available. This pack includes in-game items to help your Arisen on their journey, such as a custom Camping Kit, a Wakestone, Rift Crystals. You’ll also get a Dragon’s Dogma Music and Sound collection, and more will be also be available.
Available now, pre-orders of the Standard Edition will feature a bonus weapon for each of the four starting vocations. Deluxe Edition pre-orders will also include the Ring of Assurance in-game accessory.
The release date for Dragon’s Dogma 2 has been set for 22nd March, 2024. The game will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC simultaneously.
