Selecta Play has revealed the content for the eagerly awaited physical boxed Blasphemous 2 Collector’s Edition. This new edition will be released across Europe and North American specialist retailers on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 in early 2024.
Developed by The Game Kitchen and published by Team17, Blasphemous 2 is a brutal side-scrolling Metroidvania action platformer. It was originally released in the summer of 2023 to critical acclaim.
The second scripture in the Blasphemous series portends the return of The Penitent One. The story continues from the free Wounds of Eventide DLC for the original game, where The Heart in the sky heralded the return of The Miracle and foretold the birth of a new miracle child.
Awakened in a strange new land, and displaced from his final resting place, The Penitent One is thrust back into the endless cycle of life, death, and resurrection. There’s no other option than to explore this perilous new world and uncover its long-forgotten secrets. Hordes of grotesque enemies stand in your way, and taking them down won’t be easy. But Blasphemous 2 offers more chances to customise and improve your skill set. Several new unique weapons might be the key to your victory.
Blasphemous 2 Collector’s Edition
Selecta Play is responsible for the design and creation, as well as the European and North American publishing and distribution, of the boxed Collector’s Edition of Blasphemous 2. The team has collaborated both with The Game Kitchen and Team 17 to create a physical version for fans to collect.
As well as the full version of Blasphemous 2 on console, the Collector’s Edition will include:
