PAX co-show organizers ReedPop and Penny Arcade have revealed the first list of exhibitors coming to PAX East 2024, Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, set to be held 21st – 24th March, 2024. Among the PAX East 2024 exhibitors are The Pokémon Company, Baldur’s Gate 3 developers Larian Studios and, curiously, Quantic Dream.
PAX East features a variety of live events. These feature fan-favourite content creators, game developers, and performers. Few of the panels have been revealed so far. We know that the newest live chapter of Acquisitons Inc. and fun fare-like session on the greatest food in games will be presented, but little else. The list of exhibitors however, is quite detailed.
Square Enix will be presenting Final Fantasy XIV, Illfonic Apogee Entertainment, Freedom Games, and Whitehorn Digital will all have booths at the show. The most interesting however is the aforementioned Quantic Dream.
Why is this interesting, you ask? Well, because Quantic Dream has been specifically highlighted as offering ‘hands-on’ opportunities. Yet, we have no idea what those hands-ons may be with.

Quantic Dream – A Quick Update
For the uninitiated, Quantic Dream is a studio famed for its interactive storytelling. The 1999 David Bowie vehicle, The Nomad Soul, achieved critical acclaim. As did its successor, Fahrenheit (aka Indigo Prophecy). However, it was 2010’s Heavy Rain that shot the studio to the forefront of the gaming industry hive mind.
Subsequent titles Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human were largely well received, and Quantic Dream’s next title is set to be Star Wars Eclipse. However, that forthcoming game has no release date in sight. In fact, we’ve seen very little of it since its reveal back in 2021.
Quantic Dream at PAX East 2024
While not impossible, it’s doubtful that Quantic Dream is planning on a playable debut for Star Wars Eclipse at PAX East 2024. Instead, it’s more likely we’ll see titles from the studio’s publishing label, Spotlight by Quantic Dream. Through this label, the studio has published Sea of Solitude: The Director’s Cut for Nintendo Switch and Under the Waves. The label’s forthcoming line-up includes Dustborn and Lysfanga: The Time Shift Warrior.
Though neither of those titles have a release date set either, we’d bet on one or both of those being the ‘hands-on’ opportunities Quantic Dream will present at PAX East 2024. Still, we can hold out hope for a surprise Star Wars Eclipse reveal, eh?
