PQube has announced that White Day 2: The Flower That Tells Lies is getting a new edition for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Set to be known as the ‘Complete Edition’, White Day 2: The Flower That Tells Lies will gather up all of the episodes into one package.

The White Day series has a long and confusing history. You’d be forgiven for not understanding how we’re now talking about White Day 2 when there’s already been half-a-dozen different titles. Essentially, White Day: A Labyrinth Named School was a remake of the 2001 original, and White Day 2: The Flower That Tells Lies is a sequel to that remake. Hopefully that clears things up a bit.

With White Day 2: The Flower That Tells Lies Complete Edition, you can experience the horrors of Yeondu High School from multiple character’s perspectives. Across three linked episodes, all included in the Complete Edition, you’ll take part in an intertwining story.

  • Episode 1: Jung Soo-jin is caught in rumours of her involvement in the death of a fellow student. She’s determined to set the record straight. Her motivation is to regain the trust of her crush Jang Sung-tae. But as the pair search for clues, they learn of a far darker secret deep within the bowels of the school. Soon, the hunters become the prey.
  • Episode 2: At the same time, former teacher-in-training Kang Seo-yeon arrives. She endeavours to investigate the ambiguous circumstances surrounding her father’s passing on the school grounds. Drawing on her knowledge of the occult, Seo-yeon attempts to reverse an ancient ritual. But there’s a powerful and malicious ghost that is inexorably drawn to her.
  • Episode 3: Having made an unbreakable promise, Yoo Ji-min searches to bring peace to the restless spirit of Han Na-young. Delving into the history of the school, Ji-min makes a discovery that will lift the veil of obscurity once and for all.

White Day 2: The Flower That Tells Lies Complete Edition brings together all three episodes, and also adds seven additional costumes. These include traditional Korean Hanbok for the above player characters, as well as other new costumes. As of today, it has been updated on Steam with the Complete Edition replacing the previous episodic releases.
