Blood Bowl 3 rolls on with yet another new team bustin’ it out on the pitch: Wood Elves. What’s more, publisher NACON has revealed a roadmap for the remainder of 2024, including new content and a special plan for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
Though very similar in appearance to the Dark Elves or their cousins from the Elven Union, the Wood Elves are distinguishable by their unique synergy with nature. Their use of lighter gear gives them greater agility. However, it’s a double-edged sword. It also makes them particularly vulnerable to teams specialising in the art of tackling and various forms of attacking. They can compensate for this weakness thanks to their Wardancers; athletic players trained especially to dodge blows. This faction’s playing style is based on speed, agility and ball management, making for an exciting but challenging team to play.
Wood Elves ain’t all…
Blood Bowl 3 Season 4 includes another new feature sure to be popular with league players: a custom team creation tool. This option enables players to create a team with no limits in terms of budget or team value, and choose to upgrade their players with added skills and characteristics as they see fit.
This new addition opens the game for some big stomping. Changing the rules in such a dramatic fashion definitely won’t have any consequences, right?
Blood Bowl 3 2024 Roadmap
In 2024, Blood Bowl 3 will continue to receive major content throughout the year. This will be based on several competitive seasons and updates. Some eagerly-anticipated new features will be gradually added, such as:
- Cross-play, so that players can face opponents on any platform, and take part in joint competitions.
- Weekly missions, giving players the chance to win rewards.
- Eternal League mode, which will allow players to create their own solo leagues, with customisable settings and rule.

Blood Bowl 3 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. NACON has also shared some good news for PlayStation players, in that PlayStation Plus Premium and PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers will see Blood Bowl 3 become part of both these subscriptions on 19th March, 2024. Now you’ve got no excuse to bust some heads on the field.
