First-person potion making simulator Alchemist: The Potion Monger debuted on PC late last year. The game built a small but very keen audience, and now developer Art Games Studio is looking to build upon that solid foundation. Alchemist: The Potion Monger has been confirmed for release on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, with the former coming very soon.

A unique mixture of puzzle and RPG gameplay mechanics, Alchemist: The Potion Monger has you leave your lab, venture into the world, and change it with your brews. You’ll take the role of apprentice of the alchemical arts, in a world full of anthropomorphic animals. Choose your character “Race” from a wide array of animal types, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.

Gameplay Details

Creating a potion is no easy task, and every brew is a puzzle to solve. How you solve them will depend on the ingredients and alchemical tools you have available. You’ll use various alchemical tools to process the ingredients. Add in a dash of demonic altars, holy waters, time-controlling sands, and more. Then start brewing!

After creating a potion you can sell it to receive gold and reputation. Or you could choose to or use it yourself. Good, bad, or just for fun? Create a huge poison cloud, launch wildlife and NPCs into the air, jump over trees, or make the whole village throw up – there is almost nothing a well-prepared potion can’t achieve.

Once you’ve sold a few potions and built some savings, you and your trusty dog can purchase a home on the Island and make it your own. Alchemist: The Potion Monger allows a lot of customisation in designing your home and yard. You’re able to buy various blueprints of interior designs and alchemical tools to make your home a true mansion of the wealthy alchemist.
