Solo developer MadGamesmith found keen interest in debut title upon the release of a demo via Steam. Now, publisher Gaming Factory has announced plans to push this even further, with a free prologue for Lesson Learned coming to Steam and Xbox consoles.
What is Lesson Learned?
Lesson Learned is a tower defense game. Where there are towers, there must be waves of enemies. The dreamy world you’ll visit is full of strange and twisted creatures. All of whom serve the Bloody Countess faithfully.
In order to survive, you must gather resources such as wood and stone to build and upgrade defensive towers. These form the main line of defense against enemies. Use your helpers – your classmates – in battle. Delegate simple tasks to them and, above all, defend your base.
The heroes of the game know full well that cooperation is the key to victory. Lesson Learned offers two-player co-op in split-screen mode. Share responsibilities, coordinate your tasks, and work as a team to defend your base.
Lesson Learned: Cult of the Elizabeth Trailer
Cult of the Elizabeth
As can be seen in the trailer above, the free prologue coming to PC and Xbox consoles has been dubbed Cult of the Elizabeth. You’ll embark on an adventure into the world of dreams alongside Amelia, Frank’s best friend. Frank being the main character in the full game.
In Cult of the Elizabeth, you’ll explore the Renaissance era. You must collect resources, build towers, and fend off waves of helpers from the titular Elizabeth Bathory. As with the full game, you’ll be able to play with friends in split-screen mode and work together to defeat the bloodthirsty Countess.
Cult of the Elizabeth will launch on 6th May, 2024, on Steam and Xbox. This will be Xbox gamers’ first chance to enter a Renaissance world overrun by a sinister Countess and see if you can defend your base.
Lesson Learned Release Details
While it’s great that we have a confirmed release date for a free taste of the game in Cult of the Elizabeth, the release date of the full game is currently unconfirmed. The information made available is somewhat confusing, suggesting that the game may launch on the same day as the free prologue. But then again, it may not. It’s certainly an odd situation.
Regardless, we hope you enjoy Cult of the Elizabeth next week, and let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
