The PlayStation 5 has got off to a slow start. While there are a handful of fantastic titles available, the launch of this generation of consoles has been marred by changing work environments and supply chain shortages. This resulted in a rather slow first year, but 2022 looks set to change that. There’s a number of potentially groundbreaking titles coming for both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, but which will be the best PlayStation exclusives of 2022?
Defining the Best PlayStation Exclusives of 2022
With the modern age of gaming being what it is, it’s necessary to define what we mean by the term ‘exclusive’. For the purposes of this article, we will be including ‘console exclusive’ titles. Therefore, simultaneous PC releases may well be available. Furthermore, we are not yet beyond the cross-generational titles, so while we’re looking mostly at the PlayStation 5 many of the included games will also be playable on PlayStation 4.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection

Gran Turismo 7
Gran Turismo 7 builds on 25 years of experience. If you’re a casual racer you can find your line with a collection of game modes including GT Campaign, Arcade and Driving School. Those with a taste for competition can amp it up with the reintroduction of the GT Simulation Mode and GT Sport Mode. Over 420 cars are set to be available from classic motors to bleeding-edge supercars, and each car handles differently across over 90 track routes.

Forspoken
Forspoken tells the story of Frey Holland. Mysteriously transported from New York City, Frey finds herself trapped in the land of Athia. Ghostwire: Tokyo
One of the most interesting stories in recent gaming history, Ghostwire: Tokyo is muddled in with the Microsoft buyout of Bethesda. However, as it stands, Ghostwire: Tokyo is a PlayStation 5 exclusive for the forseeable future. Could this be one of the best PlayStation exclusives this year? Players must ally with a powerful spectral entity on their quest for vengeance and master a powerful arsenal of abilities to unravel the dark truth behind the disappearance of the population.

Moss: Book II
Announced as a PlayStation VR exclusive last Summer, Moss: Book II has a lot to live up to. The original Moss is widely considered one of the best VR experiences to date. There was some debate as to whether God of War Ragnarök should be included in this list of best PlayStation exclusives. Not because it isn’t one of the most highly anticipated PlayStation 5 titles yet – it most certainly is – but because there’s some debate as to whether or not it will make its proposed 2022 release. However, as it stands there’s no official word of a delay. Therefore, God of War Ragnarök should most definitley be riding high on your list for best PlayStation exclusives of 2022!
