Publisher Leoful and Malaysian indie studio Forust have launched the office adventure game, The Company Man. Now available o Nintendo Switch, the game is available digitally worldwide. A physical edition of the game will also be available in Asia from 26th January, 2022.
The Company Man is a classic action platformer inspired by the popular TV series The Office. You play as Jim, a young salaryman starting out at the Good Water Company. Unsatisfied with how the company is run, Jim sets out to overthrow his boss and become the CEO. An everyday story, then.
In order to overthrow the current CEO the players must launch email attacks against coworkers with a powerful keyboard. Run and jump across departments from Human Resources to Marketing. Boost up with coffee beans, and show them who’s the new boss.
The game is billed as a metroidvania style title, a genre that has seen something of a resurgence in recent years. While we continue to wait for the inevitable Metroid Prime Trilogy on Nintendo Switch, The Company Man could be as good a place as any to get your action-exploration kicks.
To celebrate The Company Man‘s launch, a new trailer showcasing more co-workers, email attacks, obstacles, and bosses has been published (see below). In addition, players can download a free set of The Company Man social media profile pictures. These include characters such as Jim, Alice, and William from the game.
The Company Man is available with a 10% launch discount on Nintendo eShop till 30th January 2022, in the Americas and Europe. Plus, players can try out a free demo to have a taste of working at Good Water Company.
The Company Man is playable in English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
