Tripwire Interactive and Deep Silver have announced that last year’s popular Maneater is coming to the Nintendo Switch on 25th May, 2021. The waters of Port Clovis will be open whether you’re on the go or in your home.
Maneater is a single player, open-world action game where you play as a shark. Starting as a small bull shark pup you must survive the harsh world while eating your way up the ecosystem.
To do this, you will explore a large and varied open world encountering diverse enemies — both human and wildlife. Find the right resources and you can grow and evolve far beyond what nature intended, allowing the player to tailor the shark to their play style. This is fortunate, because to get revenge on the cruel fisherman that dismembered you will take evolving into a massive shark, an apex predator of legends.
All of this takes place under the guise of a mockumentary, narrated by the talented Chris Parnell (Rick and Morty). As you explore seven large regions, including the gulf coast, resort beaches, industrial docks, and open ocean, Parnell will offer comment on your progress, and also that of your buck-toothed enemies.
Out now on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via the Epic Games Store), Maneater launches on Nintendo Switch on 25th May, 2021. The Switch version of the game will be priced at $39.99 / €39.99 / £34.99. It will be made available with an ESRB rating of M for Mature, PEGI 18 rating, and USK 16 rating.
