3goo and Dimps Corporation’s cult-classic fighting game series, The Rumble Fish, is set to launch digitally on 8th December, 2022. However, the plans seem to have changed somewhat. The original announcement of The Rumble Fish‘s return was celebratory of the series as a whole. Now, it seems that The Rumble Fish 2 will be getting most of the attention. This is thanks to a new The Rumble Fish 2 Collector’s Edition.
The Rumble Fish 2 will be launching on 8 December, 2022. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. At present, it seems that The Rumble Fish will not be made available digitally.
Instead, a new physical Collector’s Edition has been announced. Still billed as a release of The Rumble Fish 2, this package will include The Rumble Fish also. The Rumble Fish Original Arcade Version, as it’s known, promises ‘a faithful port of Atomiswave Version’, and will be exclusive to the physical Collector’s Edition retail version. The Collector’s Edition will first be available in Japan from 8th December, 2022, and then for the rest of the world at a later date.
The Rumble Fish 2 Collector’s Edition Contents
The Collector’s Edition will come in a beautiful outer-box featuring newly drawn visuals by YukinariZ, who created the character designs and artwork for the arcade version of The Rumble Fish.

The Rumble Fish 2 is launching digitally on 8th December 2022 for PC and consoles worldwide. The Rumble Fish 2 Collector’s Edition will also launch on this date in Japan. Dates for The Rumble Fish 2 Collector’s Edition in other countries have yet to be announced.
