Rick and Morty is the gift that keeps on giving. That is, if you’re a 30-something nerd that’s willing to overlook the toxicity from some of the most loyal fanbase from back in 2018. Which it seems most are, so onward the series goes.

And onwards into 2021 will be no bad thing for most, as while the next season of the show currently has no suggested airdate that hasn’t stopped the team behind the programme from issuing new content across a variety of formats. The latest is from the social media team, aping the classic Game Boy console from Nintendo with the ‘Rick Boy’.

While we await Rick and Morty 2021, there’s plenty of other original content coming from the official Rick and Morty Twitter account. Prior to the Rick Boy came a rather bizarre Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas inspired animation:

Rick and Morty remains hugely popular across the globe. Only last month the series returning to the Netflix UK Top 10 across all films and programming.

So what’s in store for Rick and Morty 2021? A new season is expected, but as stated above no date has yet been specified. In the meantime you can console (geddit?) yourself with splashes of new content on social media, or why not just rewatch the first four seasons?
