Team17 and Stormind Games have today launched Batora: Lost Haven on Nintendo Switch. The game combines hack ‘n’ slash combat and twin-stick shooting mechanics with intricate puzzle solving.
Batora: Lost Haven is set across a galaxy comprised of unique alien planets. The game follows Avril on an interstellar adventure as she harnesses the dual powers of the Sun and Moon. Of course, players are ablke to leverage this power against numerous unearthly foes. The game features a branching narrative with multiple endings, as players will make decisions that affect the course of the story.
Developer Stormind Games are also responsible for the well received horror series, Remothered. Two titles in the series, Remothered: Tormented Fathers and Remothered: Broken Porcelain, are available now for multiple formats. The first title received numerous awards and reasonably high review scores. The sequel didn’t fair quite so well, however.
Perhaps this reception inspired the studio to move into new areas? Which of course, leads us to…

Batora: Lost Haven Nintendo Switch Release
The game debuted on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as Steam, in October last year. It was been reasonably well received by fans. However, in Chit Hot’s Batora: Lost Haven review, you can tell that we weren’t particularly impressed: “Sadly, Batora: Lost Haven is not the game you might have been hoping for. It would be unfair to suggest that it is a terrible experience, but it surely cannot be what developer Stormind Games originally set out to achieve. Each part of the game sounds intriguing in theory. But in execution, none will maintain interest long enough to overlook the flaws of others.”
Still, with the game launching on Nintendo Switch today, you can make up your own mind!
