The forthcoming Resident Evil Village is set for a showcase tomorrow. For the first time, developer Capcom will reveal gameplay footage from the highly-anticipated eighth game in the main Resident Evil series.
Currently in development for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC, the showcase was revealed by way of a brand new teaser. Check it out:
In the video we see glimpses of gameplay and previously unseen characters. Tomorrow however, is the main event.
The Resident Evil Village showcase will take place on 21st January 2021, at 10pm GMT / 2pm PST. It will be broadcast via Capcom USA’s official Twitch channel.
Thus far, we know that Resident Evil Village will follow the events of Resident Evil VII biohazard. Players will once again enter the shows of Ethan, while his wife Mia is also going to be key to the storyline. Furthermore, series mainstay Chris Redfield has also been seen in some of the early trailers for the game.
Resident Evil Village doesn’t currently have a release date, though it is expected to launch some time in 2021. Outside of this, we also have the long-rumoured Resident Evil 4 remake suggested to be in production as well as a new Netflix series based on the franchise.
If that’s not enough Resident Evil for you, be sure to check out the Origins Collection. It’s a taste of the early days including the often overlooked GameCube exclusive Resident Evil 0.
