Tequila Works is a studio with an enviable back catalogue. Debuting back in 2012 with Deadlight, the studio has since produced numerous hits. RiME, The Invisible Hours and VR exclusive, Groundhog Day: Like Father Like Son, to name a few. Their latest release, GYLT, however was a Google Stadia exclusive. We can all imagine how that went. But now, fortunes may well be reversed as GYLT is now coming to PC and consoles.

GYLT takes players on a journey where you face your worst fears. As you play, you will be confronted with the emotional impact of your actions. Set in a creepy and melancholic world, GYLT promises to deliver an eerie story mixing fantasy and reality in a surrealist place where your nightmares become reality. Hide from terrible creatures or confront them as you find your way through the challenges of this wicked world. Shape your fears… but you may just fear the shapes.

No Longer Stadia Exclusive – GYLT PlayStation, Xbox & PC Release

GYLT won a number of awards for the Stadia edition. However, one area that perhaps didn’t receive as much recognition as it deserved is the game’s soundtrack. Produced by Cris Velasco, the composer has also worked on the likes of God of War III, Carrion, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine and the aforementioned The Invisible Hours.

Having been available as a Stadia exclusive for nearly four years, we’re happy GYLT is now able to reach a larger audience. Tequila Works has revealed that PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC editions are in the works. The game is set to launch on July 6th, 2023.
