Norwegian studio Hyper Games and Swedish publisher Raw Fury have announced that Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley has been delayed. The game was previously announced for PC and ‘consoles’, the latter of which has been clarified as Nintendo Switch only. However, releases for Android and iOS devices have also been confirmed.

Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley is a story-rich musical adventure game. Snufkin sets about restoring the valley and helping the quirky characters and critters who call it home. A series of hideous parks have cropped up in Moominvalley, disrupting the landscape and its harmonious nature.

As Snufkin, you will distract police officers, pull out signs, and knock over misplaced statues as you vigorously try to restore nature and the inhabitants’ home while putting an end to the industrious Park Keeper’s plans. The game will feature over 50 unique characters, many of which the player will be encouraged to befriend along the way. If it all sounds a little strange, you may never have seen the 1970s/80s Moomins cartoon.

The game aims to deliver a wholesome experience for every age. Gameplay combines open-world mechanics with puzzles, stealth, and melodic elements. A soundscape of music and melodies has been composed in collaboration with Sigur Rós.
