Expansive Worlds’ theHunter: Call of the Wild has proven to be a popular game on PC and consoles since its release in 2017. Since then the studio has released a huge swath of DLC for hunting fans. However, there’s only ever been one dog, the bloodhound to choose from. That’s set to change later this month with the addition of a Labrador Retriever.
Everyone needs a partner when they go hunting with the Labrador Retriever aiming to be your new best friend. Your four-legged buddy is an adorable, customisable, versatile companion. Command them to fetch any rabbit, hare, waterfowl, or upland bird on land or in water. And because you can have multiple pooches there are Black, Yellow, Chocolate, Silver, Charcoal, Fox Red, and Champagne coat variations.
Labrador Retriever DLC features
- A new way to play and explore theHunter: Call of the Wild with the retrieve ability. Tirelessly serving players, on command the Lab will retrieve harvests, either on land or in water and bring them quickly back.
- The opportunity to grow the connection between hunter and the Lab by petting, giving treats, or playing. Improve efficiency by taking frequent hunts together, and when it’s time to head back to the lodge, expect the Labrador to be there too, happily wagging its tail.
- Customisable dogs with their own name, fur coat variation, and traits that match each hunting style. Add multiple dogs to the roster for rotation in each new hunt. With male and female pups, plus seven unique fur coat variations, players can personalise their new companion to make them feel like their own.
