Sloclap has revealed that it’ss time to re-enter the Arenas for the final Sifu update on Nintendo Switch. What’s more however, the studio has revealed development on a new title – the studio’s third after Absolver and Sifu – is now in development.
Sifu is a highly stylised revenge story. Told through meticulously designed beat ‘em up Kung-Fu action, players walk in the shoes of a young Pak Mei Kung-Fu student. You’ll venture out into a fictional Chinese city, as you embark on a mission avenge your fallen master. The only things players have to defend themselves are their Kung-Fu abilities, mastered through years of training. Well, that and a magical pendant that prevents death while causing rapid aging.
The Final Sifu
Available today for free on Nintendo Switch, the final Sifu update enables players to further test their Kung-Fu abilities with several hours of new content. You can now deliver knockout blows to goons in six additional arenas with 27 new modifiers and cheats. And all this can be done while donning an extra stylish outfit. Brace yourself for encounters with zombie-like enemies, doppelgangers and interactive environments that will test your reflexes and strategic prowess like never before.
Sifu debuted for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation consoles and PC back in 2022. The game sold over 500,000 copies within 48 hours of its release. The success continued, as the game had sold over 1 million copies by the time it arrived on Xbox Series X|S in March 2022. Sifu has sold more than 2 million copies worldwide to date.
Developer Sloclap is celebrating this success by moving onto a third title. Very little information is available presently, though the studio has revealed that it, “Is currently in development of the studio’s third title.”
