This summer Fireshine Games is due to release its hotly-anticipated action adventure Lies of P across multiple platforms. In conjunction with the digital edition, the studio has revealed that a physical version will also be made available. This is thanks to partnering with NEOWIZ for the launch.
Both the digital and physical versions will jointly arrive in August 2023. But the physical edition is only for PlayStation 5 (PS5), PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles. No specific release date has been given just yet.
“We are delighted to have partnered with NEOWIZ to release the physical version of Lies of P in western markets later this year,” said Sarah Hoeksma, Marketing Director at Fireshine Games. “As one of the most anticipated games of 2023, we can’t wait for players to step into this deeply dark take on a classic tale and experience the adventure awaiting them.”
Lies, so many lies…
Lies of P has won several Gamescom 2022 awards including ‘Most Wanted Sony PlayStation Game’ and ‘Best Action Adventure Game’. Inspired by Carlo Collodi’s Pinocchio, Life of P takes an even darker turn as you play the eponymous character trying to become human. Traversing the ruined city of Krat, as P you have to scavenge resources to build weapons and survive this souls-like adventure.
You’ll encounter what few entities remain in this desolate world, with your main task to become human only aided by telling lies. The more lies you tell the more human you’ll become, leading to advantages and disadvantages for P.
There will be plenty of narrative choices along the way to keep things interesting. As well as customisation options to tailor P on his unrelenting journey.
