Ubisoft has announced that a demo of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is now available. The free demo will allow players to try out by themselves the upcoming action-adventure platformer game set in a mythological Persian world, created by Ubisoft Montpellier.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is promising to deliver a thrilling action-adventure platformer. Set in a mythological Persian world, the boundaries of time and space are yours to manipulate. You play as Sargon, and will evolve from sword-wielding prodigy to extraordinary legend as you master acrobatic combat and unlock new Time Powers and unique super abilities.

The critical response to Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has been decidedly warm thus far. Given the ongoing delay in the production of the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake, hopefully series’ fans will take to the game in a similar fashion. There’s not long left to find out however, as the game is set to launch next week.

This Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown demo gives you a first glimpse at the epic journey that awaits. It features ‘carefully selected’ sections from the game, according to Ubisoft. This includes early unlocks of time powers and amulets. The idea being to show the main gameplay features while not spoiling the story.

With that in mind, it’s worth noting that some content in this demo may vary from the final game. The Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown demo is available digitally on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.

The full game will release on 18th January, 2024. The game has a suggested price of £49.99 GBP on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, Amazon Luna, and PC. Players can also subscribe to Ubisoft+ on PC, Xbox and Amazon Luna and play the game day one. There’s also a Deluxe Edition, offering players access the game earlier, starting 15th January.
