The gaming agenda on the iPhone 15 Pro has kicked up a gear today, with the long-awaited release of Death Stranding. Confirmed for iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max devices back in September 2023, this edition is a port of the Death Stranding Director’s Cut.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut is positioned as the ‘definitive version’ of the genre-defying action game. The game was directed by Hideo Kojima and stars Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead). Death Stranding makes the trek onto Apple devices today, available on iPhone 15 Pro models powered by the A17 Pro chip. The game will also work on every iPad and Mac with M-series chips.
Set in the future, a mysterious event known as the ‘death stranding’ has occured. This opened a doorway between the living and the Dead. This has lead to grotesque creatures from the afterlife roaming the Fallen world marred by a desolate society. As Sam “Porter” Bridges, your mission is to deliver hope to humanity. You’ll journey across a wasteland, connecting the last survivors of a decimated America. Can you reunite the shattered world, one step at a time?
As you attempt to do so, you’ll journey through a post-apocalyptic narrative. The game boasts an epic Hollywood cast. This includes not only Norman Reedus as protagonist Sam, but also Mads Mikkelsen (Doctor Strange), Léa Seydoux, Margaret Qualley, and Lindsay Wagner.
