Fans of the Commandos series have a new reason to get excited. Publisher Kalypso Media recently announced an upcoming closed beta for Commandos: Origins. And now, you’re being given the opportunity to register for your chance to play the game early.
The original Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines launched back in 1998. At the time, it was considered an innovative take on tactical strategy games. The series has recently seen a resurgence in popularity, thanks largely to the recent Commandos 2 & 3 HD Remaster.
Being developed by Claymore Game Studios, Commandos: Origins is the latest title in the long running series. War has once again found itself at the doorstep of the great powers of World War II, and only heroic deeds will be enough to fight against it. You’ll take part in several missions across varied locations, from the scorching African Desert to the unforgiving tundra of the Arctic. At the forefront of this conflict is the Commandos led by Jack O’Hara, The Green Beret.
If you fit the bill, now is your chance to prove it. Your duties will include reporting the latest intel to HQ and foraging for bugs in the jungle undergrowth. Nice.
