The Final Fantasy franchise has dipped its toes into a variety of medias. No title has benefitted from this expansion more than the Final Fantasy VII legacy. Square Enix are looking to capitalise upon this ahead of the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth release date. Movie sequel Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children will be returning to cinemas. With the Director’s Cut, no less.
This release marks the first time the Director’s Cut will be given a theatrical run. This edition is 26 minutes longer than the original theatrical version. It features roughly 1,000 revised scenes with expanded themes and improved visuals. Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete begins two year after Midgar fell to ruin, standing as a testament to the sacrifices made in order to bring peace. However, the world will soon face a new menace: a mysterious illness is spreading fast. Old enemies are astir and Cloud Strife, who walked away from the life of a hero to live in solitude, must step forward yet again.
