IllFonic has announced the release date for Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game. Fans can now preoder their copy ahead of launch this summer. The game will be available to fans of the cult classic movie on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Following the success of Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Illfonic is back with another asymmetrical game. This time however, its aiming for a more survival horror game inspired take. Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game is a 3v7 multiplayer game that aims to bring back the unique, over-the-top mix of horror and comedy.
Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game Recreates the Movie
In the battle between Killer Klowns and the citizens of Crescent Cove, you’ll team up and harvest humans. Or attempt to survive and escape from an alien invasion. Crescent Cove is a sprawling arena for these unique multiplier fights between Klowns and humans. The game aims to provide a unique approach to hide-and-seek gameplay, customization, PvPvE, and dynamic objectives, which will lead to multiple match results. This game evolves the online horror formula in new ways:
• Take on the role of the iconic Killer Klowns: Cooperate in a team of three players, utilize unworldly abilities, hunt humans with zany weapons, and plan your alien invasion to harvest the population of Crescent Cove successfully.
• Fight back as a team of seven brave citizens of Crescent Cove: Explore the city for valuable loot and weapons, avoid getting captured by Klowns, and try to survive the alien invasion.
2024 will mark the 36th anniversary of Killer Klowns becoming a pop culture phenomenon, so naturally, it’s only right that it gets its own game. And now, said game will be available from 4th June, 2024. It will launch simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and will feature full crossplay support.
