Last month Astragon Entertainment and Aesir Interactive announced the next expansion for Police Simulator: Patrol Officers. Called ‘Highway Patrol’, the DLC takes players out of the city and onto the new highway. Fans will be able to step into the shoes of a highway patrol officer this June.
Highway Patrol Expansion
The main game is set within the limits of the fictional US town of Brighton. With the ‘Highway Patrol’ expansion, Aesir Interactive introduces the Brighton Highway district. Not only will players have miles of new highways to explore and patrol, but they’ll also have new tasks like high-speed monitoring and cargo checks.
Big open roads mean higher speeds, with car chases one of the new action-packed elements. Naturally, players will have tools like spike strips to deal with offenders as well as deploying roadblocks. To help deal with these new challenges, ‘Highway Patrol’ introduces two new vehicles. The first is the vintage-style Interstate Police Vehicle. The second is the Endurance Police Vehicle, a vehicle equipped with a car-stopping snare net.
Police Simulator: Patrol Officers
Released in 2022, in Police Simulator: Patrol Officers players join the Brighton police force to rid the streets of crime. Being a simulator players don’t get to go in guns blazing from the start. They have to work their way up, starting with citing violations and giving out parking tickets.
You can then shoulder more responsibility, becoming part of the community, and unlocking more neighbourhoods, districts and duties along the way.
DLC & Gold Edition Launch Details
Police Simulator: Patrol Officers – Highway Expansion will be released on 18th June 2024. Available for for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S|X and Xbox One.
