Plug In Digital is partnering with developer Caracal Games Studio to bring Downward to consoles. Having debuted on PC back in 2017, Downward was a well received first-person parkour game with more than a hint of Mirror’s Edge influence. Now, Downward Enhanced Edition will bring the platforming action to PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo gamers for the first time.

What is Downward?
As stated above, Downward is a first-person, open-world parkour based platform adventure. Set in the medieval ruins of a post-apocalyptic planet Earth. You’ll make your way through breathtaking landscapes, face ancient guardians and unravel the deep mystery that lies behind the disappearance of humanity.
The core gameplay loop sees you experiencing challenging first-person parkour action throughout the ruins. Jump, slide, and hang to make your way to your destination. You’ll collect experience as you go, using it to upgrade your character’s stats and powers. You can also use anomalies to your advantage, and use your parkouring skills to face Ancient Guardians waking up, with just one goal: end your journey.
That all sounds pretty Mirror’s Edge. However, the unique nature of Downward is it’s open-world structure. Nothing is served on a platter freely. You must explore to reach secret places, collect useful items and hidden treasures.
