The Halo TV series is set to launch later this year. To get fans hyped, a new trailer has been revealed, showcasing both Master Chief and Cortana. Furthermore, we get to see the evil forces of the Covenant in action.
Coming to Paramount+ in March 2022, the Halo TV series is set to star Pablo Schreiber (13 Hours, Orange is the New Black) as Master Chief. Jen Taylor, the voice actor behind Cortana in the Halo video game series, will reprise her role for the TV series. Bokeem Woodbine (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Ghostbusters: Afterlife) can be seen in the trailer in the role of Soren-066.
While a North American release has been confirmed, there’s no information on the worldwide release at present. Paramount+ is a service that is very limited internationally. As such, Halo fans in Europe and Asia are still waiting to hear when and where they may be able to enjoy the series.
Halo TV Series Trailer
The above trailer includes a lot of action sure to please fans. However, there are still many questions as to exactly how the TV series will align with the Xbox games. It definitely seems as if the story will follow it’s own path – but exactly how much will it reference Master Chief’s convoluted save-the-planet arcs from the games? With so many familiar faces it would be a shame to see the TV series ignore the basis that has brought it to life.
Of course, it does appear that Master Chief will be the super soldier Spartan that fans know from the games. That he’ll be fighting Covenant enemies in the 26th century, and that the new series will be action-packed. Perhaps that’s enough for now?
