The gorgeous looking Quintus and the Absent Truth has been confirmed for a worldwide release. The epic adventure of tiny proportions is set to launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S this summer.
Alan Shaw’s daughter is missing. The only one capable of helping him locate her may be a small mouse named Quintus. Players can join this odd pairing on their search for answers, using the differences in their size as an advantage.
Quintus and the Absent Truth is a horror-themed adventure told from a first-person perspective. Puzzles that the pair encounter often require you to work out which character to use for the task at hand. Do you need Alan’s height to reach buttons, switches and items that are out of Quintus’ reach? Or is a hole simply too tight for Alan to fit through? Only by working together can they discover the truth that they seek.
The game will feature four unique chapters as players navigate puzzle-ridden environments. Once you’ve played through the main game players are offered more content in ‘The Experience’. This feature offers a museum filled with Quintus and the Absent Truth models and details into how the game was developed.
The unique style of Quintus and the Absent Truth is obviously a selling-point, but it’s the challenges of using two different protagonists with very different abilities that present the greatest appeal. Following its debut on PC, the game’s soundtrack has also received significant acclaim.
