As part of this week’s Gamescom reveals, Gearbox Software announced New Tales from the Borderlands. Building on Telltale Games‘ Tales from the Borderlands, delivers a tale of three ‘losers’ attempting to find a hidden vault before the Tediore weapons corp.
Within the perpetually war-torn metropolis of Promethea, you’ll control Anu, Octavio, and Fran on the worst day of their lives. Players will guide these three new characters as they attempt to change the world. Face down a planetary invasion, vicious vault monster, and cold-hearted capitalist in this five-part story.
However, the Borderlands aren’t just home to Vault Hunters, psychos, and weapons-corp CEOs. They’re full of downtrodden civilians just trying to get by. The game promises a host of returning and fresh faces. Meet an assassin bot with comedic aspirations, a less-murderous-than-usual bandit, and a number of characters from previous Borderlands titles.
As would be expected following Tales from the Borderlands, the decisions you make determine how your story ends. Whether it’s Anu’s vision of a universe that markets more than weapons, Octavio’s dreams of fame and fortune, or Fran’s frosty plot for revenge, their success or failure depends on you.
