2023 has started with a bang for Warhammer fans. Warhammer: Age of Sigmar players have new Gloomspite Gitz miniatures and a Battletome arriving imminently, a horde of Slaves to Darkness army miniatures, and a new Beasts of Chaos Battletome and Beastlord model. Warhammer: 40,000 is being blessed with a huge World Eaters revamp, including a new Angron model. And now both games are set to receive event-exclusive Warhammer miniatures throughout the year.
Both of the newly revealed models will only be available at official Warhammer events (and at selected partner events) this year. In an attempt to inspire FOMO, the official Warhammer Community reveal keenly states, “If you miss out this year, you won’t be able to get them at all!”
Makes you want to travel, huh? Your first chance to pick them up will be at Adepticon, which is taking place from 22nd-26th March in Chicago, IL., USA. No other events have yet been confirmed, but you can be sure there’ll be a few.
Event-Exclusive Warhammer 40,000 Miniature – The Commissar’s Duty
From the 41st Millennium comes The Commissar’s Duty. This vignette depicts an iconic scene – an Astra Militarum Commissar with his sword planted in the battlefield rubble. No guesses for which army this model represents. The Commissar stands tall as he delivers the Emperor’s Justice. Which is always questionable, at the very least. Is he aiming at a foe, or at a Guardsman who needs to be made into an example?
Event-Exclusive Warhammer: Age of Sigmar Miniature – Tolgar Split-Eye
Out of the Mortal Realms charges Tolgar Split-Eye. A frenzied Darkoath warrior, Tolgar will fit right into that new Slaves to Darkness army you’ve been building. This event-exclusive Warhammer miniature comes with two optional heads. One sporting a natty eye-patch, and another for building a nameless Darkoath Chieftain. Oh, the decisions…
Will you be picking up one of these fine event-exclusive Warhammer miniatures? Are you an Age of Sigmar player, or do you spend most of your time hunting Orks? Let us know in the comments below!
