It has been an epic weekend for Warhammer fans thanks to Games Workshop’s Warhammer Fest. Held in Manchester, UK, the three-day-long festival not only held plenty of treats for attendees but there were several product announcements as well. One of which was this beast, the Maw-grunta, a huge hog for the Orruk Warclans army in Age of Sigmar.

If you’re an Orruk Warclans collector who loves their Ironjawz Orruk Gore-gruntas then this is the model for you. The Maw-grunta is a massive pig with pure power and fury in equal measure. Towering over its piggy brethren, the detailed model is a living battering ram wielding tusks tipped with choppas.

Orruk Warclans - Maw-grunta

Orruk Warclans Maw-grunta

It has enough bulk so that three orruks can ride along – one on a saddle of bones and two orruks riding side-saddle.

The Maw-grunta should hopefully be an epic addition to those Destruction armies after more Realm of Beasts grunt. It’s a fantastic model to let those painting skills fly, and has seen plenty of interest form the community since its announcement.

Games Workshop hasn’t revealed any of the rules for Maw-grunta just yet, but has indicated the model will be available this summer. So more details to follow.

It’s part of the new Warhammer Age of Sigmar campaign series Dawnbringers. This follows the Twin-Tailed Crusade setting out from Hammerhal to claim lands back in Aqshy and Ghyran.
