The 41 Hours retail release was originally announced for February 2023. However, February came-and-went with no sign of GS2 Games’ package. Today, Funbox Media has announced a parallel product for EU, ANZ, SA and ME territories. Both 41 Hours physical edition packages are set to launch in July 2023, bringing us closer to a global launch.

Originally published on consoles by eastasiasoft in October last year, 41 Hours takes you on a dramatic story-driven FPS journey across space and time. Playing as a workaholic scientist, Ethan, you’re on a search for your long-lost wife through extraterrestrial worlds.

By utilising his scientific breakthroughs, Ethan bends the time-space continuum and manipulats superhuman powers to get the information he needs. As he jumps between extraterrestrial worlds using both brain and gun power, Ethan will face off against overwhelming alien hordes.

As grand as all this sounds, 41 Hours was a significant disappointment. In Chit Hot’s 41 Hours review, we stated: “41 Hours is a game in which everything is designed to make the player feel unique and powerful, and yet fails to achieve this in everyway imaginable.”

41 Hours will release as a physical retail edition across EU, ANZ, SA and ME territories on 28th July, 2023. The physical edition will be available exclusively for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.

In North America, the game is set to arrive on 25th July, 2023. Again, exclusively for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.

“We are thrilled to be working with digital publisher Eastasiasoft to bring 41 Hours to European boxed retail fans this summer,” commented Barry Hatch at Funcom Media. “We are looking forward to bringing this excellent title into our growing portfolio of boxed retail releases and offering our European distribution partners and gamers the chance to experience this intriguing first-person shooter”

“Since we originally partnered with Texelworks on 41 Hours, we’ve appreciated the developer’s clear vision of combining science fiction with grounded realism,” commented Joshua Michael French at Eastasiasoft Limited.  “This is a huge part of what makes 41 Hours unique. Partnering with Funbox Media Ltd allows us to bring this experience to new players worldwide.”
