After a very successful run on Nintendo Switch, Sea Horizon now has an official release date for additional formats. PC, PlayStation and Xbox gamers will be able to get their hands on the game soon. However, these new versions will be limited to digital-only releases.
Sea Horizon is a roguelike turn-based RPG. The game is presented through a 3D bird’s eye view of a hex grid map. It’s generated every time you set out to explore, meaning no two runs will be quite the same. As you chart a path across the treacherous seas you will gain access to new weapons. However, you mist also carefully manage your hunger and health. Weigh risk against the potential reward of each side quest, and make life-or-death choices in combat.
As you progress, you’ll unlock access to new playable characters. Each with their own storied backgrounds and personal motivations. Traditional RPG elements like dice rolls and randomised battle cards govern your available actions in Sea Horizon. However, the game isn’t entirely random. Wise decisions can stack the deck in your favor.
In typical roguelike fashion, whether you succeed or fail new paths will be open to you on the next attempt. Each run will teach you new lessons, allowing you to push further into the depths of the sea. Just make sure you’re adequately equipped!
