Hot on the heels of the reveal of the inevitable iPhone 15, Capcom has announced that two of the most recent Resident Evil games will be making their way to the mobile platform. Both this year’s Resident Evil 4 remake and Resident Evil Village will be available for iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The upcoming launches of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village for the latest iPhone handsets mark the first time these best-selling titles from the iconic survival horror franchise will be natively available on a smartphone. This is reportedly thanks to the power of A17 Pro.

According to Capcom, both games will deliver graphics with fidelity ‘that parallels the latest consoles’. Further supporting this statement, both titles will include HDR functionality. Compatibility with a wide array of game controllers, plus multi-touch with on-screen controls, will allow players to customise their gameplay experience.

Resident Evil for iPhone 15 Pro, iPad & Mac

The critically acclaimed Resident Evil 4 will also release for iPad and Mac, along with Resident Evil Village on iPad, in 2023. Available on the App Store later this year, both games support cross-progression, so players’ progress is synced across iPhone and iPad. Resident Evil 4 will also extend this to include Mac. Both games will be free to download, but require an in-app purchase to experience the full game. A modern twist on a demo, you may think.

Resident Evil 4 will be playable on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and every iPad and Mac with the M1 chip or later. Resident Evil Village will also be available on both new handsets, as well as iPad Air, and iPad Pro with the M1 chip or later.
