South Korean studio PressA have today released their side-scrolling online shooter Side Bullet on PlayStation 5. The Side Bullet launch brings us a new free-to-play title, merging tactical depth with 2D arcade action.
Side Bullet is set in an urban concrete jungle. Players are be pitted against both each other and strange monsters. You can choose a fighter from one of nine cartels, including Psychos, Special Agents, and Prisoners. Each cartel offers its own passive skill known as a Unique Perk and special weapons can be used together with active skills known as Perks.
You must use your guns in conjunction with your grappling hook for smooth, agile precision platforming. Defeat strange monsters to acquire more powerful weapons and supplies. Unlock perks as you play and customize your battle experience.
Side Bullet Launch Event
To celebrate the launch of Side Bullet, PressA will host a special event: “Welcome to Neon Dystopia City!”
The event will run from 10 PM UTC on 5th October, 2023, until 2:59 PM UTC on 2nd November, 2023. During this event, players will embark on a mission-filled journey to claim a variety of enticing rewards. These include a Pet (Trifle), the stylish Emblem (Fancy), the electrifying Gun Skin (AMFAS / Neon Shot), the striking Shield Skin (Neon Crush), and the trendy Outfit Set (comprising both top and bottom) known as the ‘Dystopia Set’.
These rewards won’t be limited to just one game mode; you can earn them in both Battle Royale Solo and Battle Royale Trio modes.
Side Bullet Gameplay Modes
At launch Side Bullet includes Battle Royale Solo and Battle Royale Trio modes. More content will be introduced in future updates.
As a free-to-play game, SIDE BULLET offers microtransactions. These are mostly cosmetic items, which include costumes, weapon skins, furniture and emotes. There’s also a Premium Battle Pass that allows players to earn various additional rewards on top of their existing Free Battle Pass rewards.
“PressA studio aims to continuously provide players with that magical experience when you first play a new game,” said Kim Seonguk, producer of PressA development studio. “With this goal in mind, we set out to develop a creative game that can provide players with a completely unique experience. And the result is Side Bullet.”
