The aging Final Fantasy XI Online has today received the November Update, available now across all formats. This latest update includes changes to foes in Normal and Intense Ambuscades, a new battlefield and more.
Square Enix has also announced a new event coming late November. Named Vana’Bout, this new co-operative campaign sees players from all over the world working together to accumulate points for special items as a reward for clearing special Record of Eminence objectives.
Final Fantasy XI Online November Update Highlights
The new content featured in the Final Fantasy XI Online November Update is highlighted by three new additions:
- New Battlefield – A new battlefield appears in the Aht Urhgan region featuring Flans.
- Updates to Ambuscade – The foes in Normal and Intense Ambuscades have been swapped out and Poroggos and heartwings return!
- Login Campaign – The 2023 Login Campaign runs through 2nd December, 2023, at 6:00 a.m. PST. Receive points and exchange them for in-game items, including this month’s special item: Chocobo Chair II.
Additionally, players can look forward to join other players from all over the world in the aforementioned Vana’Bout. This is a new type of co-op event coming in late November. Players accumulate points by clearing special Record of Eminence objectives. Once players globally achieve the required number of points, everyone will receive a reward.
Finally, Final Fantasy XIV Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida recently announced the new 24-player alliance raid battle content that is planned for Dawntrail, the game’s upcoming fifth expansion pack. The new alliance raid, featuring Final Fantasy XI Online, is titled Echoes of Vana’diel. More details are set to be revealed at the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2024 in Tokyo, scheduled for early January 2024.
