New Hero Quest Expansions Now Available

The 1980s board game phenomenon, Hero Quest, returned to action with a re-release in 2021. The two original 1980s expansions followed soon after, then along came brand new expansions. Not done just yet, Hasbro has just announced two further expansions coming to Hero Quest this month.

Hero Quest is a classic board game designed for up to five players. One character takes on the role of the Dungeon Master, and plays out the quest designs from a series of prescribed arrangements. Then, up to four players team-up as heroes venturing into the dungeon to engage in a range of quests. The original game features over a dozen quests with a variety of enemies, furniture, treasures and board arrangements. However, if that’s not enough for you there’s a variety of expansions, or you can even download user-created Hero Quest expansions.

Hero Quest Expansions

The first two Hero Quest expansions, Return of the Witch Lord and Keller’s Keep, are re-releases alongside the game itself. Subsequently, three new expansions have already been designed an released: The Mage of The Mirror, Rise of The Dread Moon and The Frozen Horror. All of these Hero Quest expansions add new rules, dungeon designs and enemies. There’s also a smaller, hero character expansion set available.

Now however, we’re going to receive two further Hero Quest expansions. These new designed sets will be available from today.

HeroQuest Prophecy of Telor Quest Pack

In the HeroQuest Prophecy of Telor expansion, players will gain access to 13 new quests. Each will bring them closer to revealing the secrets surrounding the Talisman of Lore and the prophecy of Telor. Though the wizard, Melar, vanished long ago, it is known that he had been experimenting with vile Dread magic. Alas, in his disappearance, all that could be found was the Talisman of Lore. Playing as one of HeroQuest’s brave heroes, you must enter the maze of Melar and put an end to whatever foul machinations are at play.

The HeroQuest Prophecy of Telor expansion includes:

• 15 detailed miniatures
• 14 Illustrated game cards
• Quest book
• 6 dice

HeroQuest Spirit Queen’s Torment Quest Pack

This HeroQuest expansion includes 14 new quests. The elven sage Silvana, brilliant diviner and ally of Mentor, has been experiencing visions of spirits surrounding her beloved late apprentice, Nelath, a Spirit Talker slain by Zargon. You must enter the Wyvern Keep and end whatever vile plot has disturbed Nelath’s eternal slumber, before a fate worse than death befalls her.

The HeroQuest Spirit Queen’s Torment expansion includes:

• 15 detailed miniatures
• Quest book
• 6 dice
